One of the most successful ships in US History, the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier was commissioned for service in World War II and went on to serve as a primary recovery vessel for NASA and then in Vietnam. Families can immerse themselves in thrilling historical re-creations such as Kamikaze: Day of Darkness, Day of Light, to relevant displays such as Defending our Future. While here, you can also ride in the A-6 Cockpit Simulator, visit our Virtual Flight Zone, or tour the inside of the world’s fastest commercial airplane, Concorde.
