Alaina Simone is an art consultant who works primarily in the fields of Brand Development, Non-Profit Contemporary Art Foundations, Event Planning and Design, Artist/Musician Advocacy, and Contemporary Art Sales and Education. Between 2000 and 2017, she has planned and co-curated over thirty exhibitions in New York City, Detroit, Miami, Verbier, Switzerland and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Her exhibitions have been recognized by leading publications to include The New York Times, Art in America, Modern Painters, Art Forum, The New Yorker, and Whitehot Magazine among many others. Simone has placed artwork in prominent public and private collections such as The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art, The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture, Center for African & African American Research at Duke University and the Fowler Museum at UCLA to name a few. She lives and works in New York City.
